My favorite type of run...the long run

Just a quick post to give my favorite run of the week some love…the long run. Why do I love a long run? My typical long runs are done early in the morning (my favorite time of day) at an easy pace and with a friend.

 
 

We ran 90 minutes today which gave us lots of time to chat about the past week, discuss upcoming plans and even dream a little. Long runs are a great way to build your cardiovascular system and strengthen your muscles and ligaments all while putting a minimal amount of stress on your body.

I look forward to my long run each week. What’s your favorite type of run?
